MAD Greens opens 5th Valley location Wednesday at Dana Park in Mesa

MAD Greens, a Denver-based fast-casual concept that specializes in create-your-own salads, will open its fifth Valley location Wednesday at Dana Park on the northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa.

Founded in 2004, MAD Greens made its Arizona debut last June at Tempe Marketplace. It has since added two locations in Scottsdale and one in Phoenix, giving it a total of 18 in Colorado and Arizona.

The menu offers a dozen suggested gourmet salads, including two available only in Arizona:

  • The Soleri (pictured): Baby greens, slow-roasted chicken, figs, spicy avocado, cotija cheese, red grapes, unsweetened chocolate bits, and tabasco prickly pear vinaigrette.
  • The Doc Holliday: Baby greens, grilled citrus chicken, red grapes, oranges, red onions, spicy pumpkin seeds, and miso sesame vinaigrette.

In addition to the salads, there are five paninis, three wraps, six soups, and fresh juices.

The grand opening will be a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club Grant Woods Branch. Representatives will be collecting donations from 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
