Mediterranean restaurant Green Corner opens near Mesa’s Fiesta Mall

Green Corner, a family-run Mediterranean restaurant, has opened on the northeast corner of Alma School and Southern in the so-called Fiesta District of Mesa.

It takes over the former Oma’s Place in the same strip mall that’s home to Boulders on Southern and Stufrageous Stuffed Burgers.

Green Corner’s menu include all the expected starters, such as hummus and baba ghanoush ($3.49), stuffed grape leaves ($4.99), falafel ($4.99), tabbouleh salad ($4.49), kibbeh ($4.99), and lentil soup ($2.49).

Entree plates include beef, chicken, or lamb kabobs ($9.99), beef or chicken shawarma ($8.99-$9.49), gyros ($7.99), grilled chicken thighs ($9.49), and lamb shank ($10.99). All come with hummus, Greek salad, rice, and pita bread.

The only beverage options are fountain drinks.

Hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
