The Brass Tap at Mesa Riverview and Huss Brewing are teaming up to celebrate this spring’s first Cactus League baseball game at Sloan Park on Friday.
The Sloan Park Opening Day Tailgate will kick off at 10 a.m. with $2 hot dogs grilled on The Brass Tap’s patio and $3 cans of Magic in the Ivy, a pale ale inspired by the famous outfield vines at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.
In addition, four beers from the south Tempe brewery will be on tap for $4 per pint:
- Magic in the Ivy
- Grapefruit IPA
- Koffee Kölsch
- Scottsdale Blonde
You’re allowed to take cans on Magic in the Ivy on the free shuttle to the nearby stadium, where the Chicago Cubs will play host to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 1:05 p.m.
After the game, there will be a drawing for tickets to the Cubs’ home game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. No purchase is necessary, but you must be at The Brass Tap to win.
