The Valley’s craft beer community has stepped up in recent weeks to support Theresa Sorrels, the wife of Beer Research Institute co-founder and brewer Greg Sorrels, in her fight against brain cancer.

Sunday, there will be two more events:

At 8-Bit Aleworks in Avondale, local Lagunitas rep Nick Reyes will be auctioning off his “man bun” hair from 2-6 p.m. (closing bids due by 5). They’ll be pouring Mayan Chocololli (a blend of their Mayan Chocolossus and BRI’s Banana Lolli) and Grand Canyon Pistachi-Yo sour. All proceeds from the two beers will go to Sorrels’ treatments.

At The Pig ‘s Meow in east Phoenix, all pours from 3 p.m. to close Sunday will be $5 with all profits going to the Sorrels. They’ll also be raffling off some cool stuff. More than a dozen local breweries have contributed.
