Fine dining may be on the ropes nationwide, but there are diehards determined to keep the experience alive in an ever-more-casual restaurant world.
One of those is chef Branden Levine, whose new fine-dining venue, Sel Restaurant, had its soft opening Sunday in Old Town Scottsdale.
Sel takes over the former Saskatchewan Galleries building near the northwest corner of Marshall Way and Main Street.
Levine, who most recently headed the kitchen at Old Town’s highly acclaimed Cafe Monarch, offers a prix-fixe dinner menu with four courses for $70.
An official grand-opening celebration scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed until Saturday, April 9.
