Sleepy Dog Brewery in Tempe will launch its latest canned beer – Peanut Butter Milk Stout – at the AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival in May.

The peanut butter ale, which debuted on taps in January, is a variant of the brewery’s flagship Wet Snout Milk Stout, a 5.7% ABV sweet stout.

It pairs with the flavors of rich chocolate malt and creamy peanut butter.

Sleepy Dog co-owner Matt Weber says demand for the new beer has been heavy, leading to the decision to add it to the brewery’s lineup of 12-ounce cans.

The sixth annual AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival will take place 1-6 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Scottsdale Civic Center.
