Slim Chickens, an Arkansas-based fast-casual chain, will make its Arizona debut with a couple of locations in the East Valley.
The concept offers chicken tenders, chicken wings, and even chicken and waffles (pictured). Sides include fries, fried okra, fried pickles, and fried mushrooms. Desserts are served in Mason jars.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the chain’s first Arizona location will open in August or September in the former Carls Jr. on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Germann in Gilbert.
Construction on the second location, which will be at a site TBA in Chandler, will start in July or August.
