Florida-based First Watch is the latest breakfast-and-lunch concept to announce it’s opening in downtown Tempe.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, First Watch will move into the space that was home to the Ehrhardt Schwinn bicycle shop for 57 years. Owner Larry Ehrhardt retired earlier this year.

The space is located next to Blaze Pizza, which recently took over the longtime Zia Records on University just west of Mill.

First Watch currently has eight locations in the Valley and three others under construction.

No word on a target opening date for Tempe, but late fall would be a good guess.

Other breakfast options that have opened in the downtown Tempe area in recent years include NCounter (2011), Snooze (2014), Délice Bistro (2014), Nocawich (2015), and Corner Bakery (2015).

Downtown Phoenix favorite Matt’s Big Breakfast also is opening a location in downtown Tempe this fall.
