Natural Grocers, a Colorado-based health food chain whose mission is to make healthy eating more affordable, opens its second and third East Valley locations today in Gilbert.
The stores are located at:
- South side of Baseline, just east of Gilbert Road
- Southeast corner of Val Vista and Williams Field
Hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family-run chain sells only produce that’s organic, meat that’s hormone-free, and dairy products that meet their pasture-based standards.
Stores operate ‘‘bag free’’ – customers are asked to bring reusable bags or take a recycled box in place of plastic or paper bags.
The East Valley’s first Natural Grocers opened on the southeast corner of Kyrene and Ray in west Chandler last month.
