Earlier this week, MXSW gave you the first look at the incredible beer list for Saturday’s Feast of St. Arnold at Fibber Magees in Chandler.
But the annual festival, which honors the patron saint of Belgian brewers and hop-pickers, is about more than beer. There’s also great Belgian food, like mussels (pictured), pomme frites, and beignets.
Fibbers has just released the food specials for Saturday:
Trois Moules ($11)
Your choice of mussels 3 ways; served with garlic bread
• Classique: White wine, cream, leeks, potato, sausage, fennel
• Le Diable: Tomato, capers, onions, garlic, basil, crushed red pepper
• Rustique: Beer, bacon, roasted red pepper, shallots
Triple de Pomme Frites ($8)
Hand cut fries with a trio of dipping sauces:
• Chipotle & Roasted Garlic Aioli
• House made Mango Ketchup
• Beer Cheese
Salade d’endives ($9)
Endive, apple, gorgonzola, pancetta, crushed house candied walnut, Granny Smith apple vinaigrette
Choux de Bruxelles ($9)
Brussel sprouts sautéed with chili oil, crumbled bacon, tart cherries and crowned with a fried duck egg
Framboise Porc Glacé Ventre ($13)
Framboise glazed pork belly served with grilled asparagus, spiced sweet potato dumplings, and pan jus.
Beignet de Pomme ($7)
Apple fritters dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with salted caramel dipping sauce
The Feast of St. Arnold runs from 11 a.m. to close at Fibbers Magee, located on the southeast corner of Dobson and Elliot in Chandler. Admission is free.
