California-based Ahipoki Bowl, a fast-casual Hawaiian poke restaurant, will open its second Arizona location Thursday southeast of the intersection of I-10 and Ray in west Chandler.
The building, located on 54th Street in front of Bed Bath & Beyond, formerly was home to Federico’s Mexican restaurant.
Ahipoki Bowl features ahi tuna, salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, octopus, scallops, yellowtail, or shrimp on a bed of rice or lettuce. Diners then customize their bowls with various toppings and sauces.
The first Arizona location opened in Scottsdale in April to huge crowds.
“Ahipoki is the fastest-growing poke concept in the nation with four locations in California and now two in Arizona with several more planned within the next 12 months,â€Â says Jason Jantzen, managing partner of Ahipoki Bowl Arizona.
