New Belgium brewer Chris McCombs is in the Valley today for some tappings of the Fort Collins, Colo., brewery’s ‘‘Collabeeration’’ ales.
New Belgium celebrated its 25th anniversary last month by releasing five collaboration beers that ‘‘reinterpreted’’ its flagship Fat Tire amber ale:
- Fat Funk Ale (collaboration with Allagash Brewing)
- Fat Sour Apple Ale (with Hopworks Urban Brewery)
- Fat Hoppy Ale (with Firestone Walker Brewing)
- Fat Pale Ale (with Rhinegeist Brewery)
- Fat Wild Ale (with Avery Brewing)
All five – along with Lips of Faith Tart Lychee (American wild ale), Juicy Mandarina IPA, and Fruit Fly (passion fruit Citra sour ale) – will be on tap from 3-6 p.m. today at Papago Brewing in Scottsdale.
Papago will have $1 off all New Belgium drafts during that time.
At 6 p.m., McCombs will head to Tempe’s Boulders on Broadway, where there will be 25 New Belgium beers on tap tonight.
