Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dinning room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
This week’s menu of rotating selections from the restaurant’s regular menu:
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep-fried (pictured).
- Teriyaki Chicken Salad: Sauteed chicken, black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, avocado, feta, and lemon over romaine.
- Salonika Chicken: Italian sausage, mushrooms, pepperoncinis, garlic, capers, and pine nuts over breast of chicken in orange brandy and white wine.
- Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing. Served with sauteed vegetables.
- RomeoÂ’’s Birthday Cake: Fudgy rum cake with chocolate ganache, chocolate buttercream, and raspberry preserves.
