Christopher’s offers special Julia Child-inspired, 3-course menu this week

By Jess Harter Monday, August 15, 2016

Today would have been Julia Child’s 104th birthday, and Christopher Gross is celebrating the life of the famous chef, cookbook author, and cooking show host by offering a three-course tribute menu all week at Christopher’s in Phoenix.

The connection? As a young chef, Gross (pictured above) worked alongside Child, who died in 2004 at age 92, on her groundbreaking PBS show, ‘‘The French Chef.’’

This week’s special multi-course menu is a nod to French classics the pair prepared together, such as Duck Liver Terrine, Tart of Escargot, Lobster Roe Basted White Fish, Coq au Vin, and Beef Bourguignon. (See full menu here.)

The cost is $39 person, plus tax and tip. Wine pairings are available for an additional $20. The menu will be available through Saturday at the Biltmore Fashion Center restaurant.

Make your reservation by calling 602-522-2344 and mentioning “Julia Child.”
