Cuisine & Wine Bistro will hold the grand opening of its second location – in the former Cork space on the northeast corner of Alma School and Chandler Heights in south Chandler – on Sunday, Aug. 28.

Chef Fabrice Buschtetz and his wife, Mairead, launched Cuisine & Wine after buying the former MWC Bistro in Gilbert last year. It recently was named the top wine bar in Arizona.
The Chandler location will have the same menu of Buschtetz’s modern twist on traditional French cuisine. The couple’s son, Steven, will run the kitchen in Gilbert.
Cork, which opened in 2008, was one of the East Valley’s few fine-dining restaurants. It earned numerous awards, but couldn’t weather a national shift away from fine dining.
In 2014, the restaurant tried rebranding itself as the more casual Earnest, but closed for good earlier this year.
