Wingstock, Arizona’s only chicken wing and music festival, moves from April to October this year: The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at Mesa Amphitheatre.
The festival, which debuted in 2011, typically has been held Easter weekend, but Easter fell in March this year and organizers decided to try a fall date instead.
Last year, 11 restaurants competed for the King of Wings title, with ATL Wings walking away with its third straight crown. ATL Wings also won Hottest Wings for the second straight year.
The fest also includes several bands, eating contests, and a variety of vendors.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 the day of the fest. Kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Wing coupons (one coupon is good for one wing) are four for $3, 14 for $10, or 28 for $20.
Restaurants interested in participating should email wingstock@mesaaz.gov or call 480-644-2178.
