Huss Brewing, which launched its brewery and taproom in south Tempe in 2013, is adding a second taproom on the northeast corner of Central and Camelback in Phoenix.
The taproom will join the recently opened Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Shake Shack, and Creamistry in the renovated Uptown Plaza. A December opening is planned.
The 16 taps mainly will feature Huss beers, including its award-winning Scottsdale Blonde and Husstler Milk Stout. Each taproom also will have some unique beers.
“I think it’s cool that we can have some beers only available at the Tempe taproom, and now have unique selection(s) at the Uptown taproom,” says Jeff Huss, brewmaster and co-owner with his wife, Leah (both pictured above at the Arizona Strong Beer Festival).
The so-called Huss Brewing at Uptown Plaza also will have a kitchen to provide light snacks.
It will be located directly across the courtyard from Lou Malnati’s, a Chicago deep-dish pizza icon that has drawn long lines since opening in May.
What are the chances the pizzeria will be pouring pints of Huss’ Magic in the Ivy pale ale for thirsty Cubs fans next spring?
