This week’s ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu: Transylvania Chicken & Ravioli Marco Polo

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dinning room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

This week’s menu of rotating selections from the restaurant’s regular menu:

  • Eggplant Cappicola: Provolone and ham cappicola wrapped in fresh eggplant and deep-fried. Served with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • Mediterranean Salad: Hearts of artichoke and palm with roasted pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, scallion, avocado, romaine, lemon vinaigrette, and almonds.
  • Transylvania Chicken: Grilled chicken breast layered with roasted eggplant, roasted peppers, pine nuts, and chilled balsamic beans (pictured).
  • Ravioli Marco Polo: Cheese ravioli, meat sauce with Italian sausage, ricotta topped with mozzarella, and a touch of cinnamon.
  • Tiramisu: European lady fingers soaked in espresso and layered with fresh mascarpone cheese.

Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
