Local restaurants helping to raise $1 million in September to fight pediatric cancer

Gold is the color of pediatric cancer, and today is the start of National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation is launching its first-ever Go Gold campaign to raise $1 million for the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders this month.

Local restaurants that have teamed up to help include:

  • Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill: The Tempe location will have a special flight of gold beers. $1 from each flight sold will be donated to PCH for Go Gold.
  • Kabuki Japanese Restaurant: Tempe Marketplace and Westgate locations will donate $1 from the sale of each order of Curry Shrimp on Crispy Rice to PCH.
  • California Pizza Kitchen: Every Wednesday in September, the Tempe Marketplace and Desert Ridge locations will donate 20% of diners’ total bills to PCH when they mention “Go Gold for PCH.”
  • Slices: Tempe Marketplace location will give 10% of all its sales on the BBQ Chicken Slice during the month of September and 10% of sales every Tuesday in September to PCH.
  • Churn: Portion of proceeds from gold-themed treat will go to Go Gold.
  • Miracle Mile Deli: $1 from every “Straw” Sandwich will go to Go Gold.
  • Papa John’s: Use the code PCH for 40% off your online order. Ten-percent of proceeds will go to Go Gold.
  • Sauce Pizza & Wine: From Sept. 12-18, Sauce is donating 100% of proceeds from kids menu items to Go Gold.
  • Spinatos Pizzeria (All locations): $1 from every dessert sold to go to Go Gold.
  • The Vig: $1 from every Four Peaks 8th Street Pale Ale sold will go to Go Gold. (If you post a social media photo with your ale using the hashtag #GoGold4PCH and tag The Vig, you will receive 15% off your bill.)
  • Dunkin Donuts: Selling a Go Gold donut with 50 cents from each donut sold going to PCH.
