Flanny’s Bar & Grill in Tempe will help San Diego’s Ballast Point Brewing celebrate its 20th anniversary with a tap takeover starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
The tap list will feature 16 beers, including Copper on Nitro, the first beer brewed by Ballast Point back in 1995 (at Pizza Port, since BP wasn’t up and running yet).
Also on tap will be the beer that Copper eventually morphed into, California Amber, the brewery’s biggest award-winner.
There will be five beers from the brewery’s unique ’’Roots to Boots’’ program, which gives all employees an opportunity to brew an original beer recipe:
- Schwarzbier
- American Wheat with Cherries
- Belgian Tripel Ale
- Double India Pale Ale
- Bier de Garde
And three versions of its flagship IPA:
- Sculpin
- Grapefruit Sculpin
- Pineapple Sculpin
Rounding out the list:
- California Kölsch
- The Commodore stout
- Grunion pale ale
- Calm Before the Storm coffee ale
- Watermelon Dorado double IPA
- Mango Even Keel session IPA
