Sports bars & restaurants kick off food & drink specials for NFL games

Are you ready for some football?

The draft, training camps, and preseason games are behind us, and it’s finally time for the NFL to kick off the 2016 season for real this weekend.

It also means Valley sports bars will be packed with fans wearing Cardinals jerseys (and those of every other team).

Here’s a look at what some of MXSW’s sponsors will be offering as food and drink specials during NFL games on Sundays:

• Social Box Neighborhood Eatery: $4 fries or tots with cheese, $4 Bavarian pretzel, $5 quesadillas, $5 green chile pork chimis, $6 nachos, $6 sliders with fries, $7 popcorn shrimp with fries, $7 two-topping personal pizzas; $2 domestic pints, $3 team shots, $4 wells, $5 Deep Eddy flavors, and $7 domestic pitchers.
• Baja’s Joe’s Mexican Cantina: Happy hour food pricing; $3 Fireballs, $3 Cuervo, $4 domestic drafts, $5 premium draft mugs, $10 buckets of domestic bottles, $15 buckets of premium bottles.
• Bourbon Jacks: Brunch menu from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; $3.50 pints, $4 mimosas, $5.50 22-ounce domestics, and $6 Bloody Mary’s from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (also on Saturdays for college football).
• Fibber Magees Irish Pub: $5 garlic fries, $8 wings, $8 chicken tenders, $8 pork or cod sliders, $10 nachos; $3 Bud and Bud Light bottles, $4 pints of Harp or Smithwicks, $4.50 20-ounce Guinness, $5 Bloddy Marys and mimosas, and $7 Smirnoff, Gordon’s, Myers, or Durango drinks.
• El Palacio Mexican Restaurant & Cantina: $8 33-oune pitchers and $15 60-ounce pitchers of any import/domestic.
• Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers: Breakfast menu from 9 a.m.-noon; build-your-own Bloody Mary bar; $1 Mimosa refills until 3 p.m.
• Floridino’s Pizza & Pasta: $8 one-topping large pizzas all day. Dine in or carry out.
• The Brass Tap: Flatbread pizza and a pint for $10.
• La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen: $2 domestic beers.
