Shake Shack, the New York City-based chain of fast-casual burger eateries, opens its third Valley location at 11 a.m. today at Kierland Commons on the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Greenway in north Scottsdale.
Previous locations opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square in February and Phoenix’s Uptown Plaza in March.
Shake Shack is known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, hormone-free Vienna beef dogs, cage-free chicken, crinkle-cut fries, and frozen-custard ‘‘concretes.’’
It offers wine and craft beer, including its exclusive ShackMeister Ale from Brooklyn Brewery.
Each location also offers a unique frozen custard dessert – in this case, a Kierland Campfire concrete made with chocolate custard, marshmallow sauce, graham cracker, and Scottsdale’s family-owned Zak’s Chocolate chunks.
Five percent of sales from the Kierland Campfire concrete will be donated to the Arizona Humane Society.
