Apricot chicken will be the entree of this month’s ‘‘3rd Tuesday’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert.
The monthly dinners feature three new dishes from Romeo’s creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgable waitstaff:
- Meditonnato (pictured on left): Albacore tuna, artichoke hearts, red peppers, capers, Kalamata olives, roasted fingerling potatoes, piquillo peppers, red & green onions, fresh basil, balsamic-Dijon dressing, mixed baby greens. Paired with 2011 Balletto RRV Estate Teresa’s Unoaked Chardonnay.
- Apricot Chicken (pictured on right): Broiled chicken tenders, quinoa pilaf with asparagus, leeks, garlic, zucchini, yellow squash, sun-dried tomatoes, carrots, red pepper, spinach, topped with a spicy apricot-Dijon–rosemary sauce and sliced almonds. Paired with 2009 Villa Maria Cellar Selection Pinot Noir.
- Chocolate extraordinaire: Paired with 2013 Motto Wines Unabashed Zinfandel.
