Phoenix favorite Bobby-Q Great Steaks & Real BBQ opens a much-anticipated second location in Mesa at 11 a.m. today. The rustic restaurant and bar takes over the former R.T. O’Sullivan’s Sports Grill building on the southwest corner of Stapley and U.S. 60.
Signature barbecue platters range from $11-$19 for lunch and $16-$20 for dinner. The barbecue includes beef brisket, pulled pork, sausage links, and three types of ribs (St. Louis, baby back, and Texas beef).
The menu also offers steaks, prime rib, chicken (rotisserie, Southern fried, or “smoasted”), shrimp, salmon, catfish, burgers, and sandwiches.
The full bar has 18 wines by the glass or bottle, plus domestic beers.
Bobby-Q was named one of the Top 100 Places to eat in the U.S. for 2016 by Yelp. It also was selected as one of the 30 Best Barbecue Restaurants in America by OpenTable in 2014.
Dining room hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Bar hours are 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily.
