1. The 44th annual Four Peaks Oktoberfest will take place this weekend at Tempe Town Lake. Hours are 5 p.m.-midnight Friday, noon-midnight Saturday, and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

2. For the first time, the festival will charge admission. Single-day general admission is $7 in advance or $10 at the gate. Three-day tickets are $12 in advance. Children 12 and under are free.

3. Also for the first time, the festival is teaming up with Uber. If you pre-purchase your ticket, you can pre-purchase your ride as well.

4. Bratwursts will be the featured food item, but vendors will offer variety of foods. All food and beverage tents will have the ability to accept credit/debit cards and cash. Also, ATMs will be available on-site.

5. Four Peaks beers, as well as German-style beers, will be on tap. All beers will be $6. Wine also will be available for purchase. 

6. This year’s music lineup is headlined by Whiskey’s Quicker, Jared and the Mill, Royal Bliss, Mogollon, Aubachtal Sextette, DJ Munition, and Grammy-winning DJ Lil Jon.

7. An on-site carnival will have a dozen rides, such as Starship 2000, Grand Wheel, and Zipper. Rides are $1.50 apiece, 10 for $12, 20 for $20, or $25 for an all-day pass.

8. Kinderfest (children’s fest) will have games and activities for kids, including arts and crafts, Legos, juggling lessons, a German castle playhouse, and a photo booth.
