This week’s ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu: Apricot-Dijon Salmon & Goat Shrimp

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dinning room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dinners typically feature five selections from the restaurant’s regular menu, but this week’s first two courses are brand-new items:

  • Roasted Vegetable Salad: Roasted vegetables, fresh herbs, quinoa, mixed greens, maple mustard vinaigrette, feta cheese (shown on right).
  • Apricot-Dijon Salmon: Grilled tomato and zucchini, mixed greens with a chile paste, scallion oil, zaatar, honey, sriracha, rice vinaigrette and apricot-Dijon glaze.
  • Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing. Served with sauteed vegetables.
  • Cheesecake Brownies: Rich, chocolaty cream cheese brownies with coconut and pecans.

Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
