1. The seventh annual Arizona Taco Festival, the world’s largest taco competition, will take place 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale.

2. General admission is $12 online or $15 at the gate. VIP packages are available Kids 12 and under get in free. Parking is free.

3. Fifty-plus restaurants and food trucks will be selling tacos for $2 apiece. Other food (mostly desserts) also will be for sale, as will margaritas, beer, water, and soda.

4. All food and drink purchases will require $2 tokens, which can be purchased with cash or credit cards. There also will be ATMs on site.

5. More than 100 tequilas will be available at a Tequila Expo from noon-5 p.m. Saturday. The tent requires an additional $20 ticket (good for 10 samples).

6. New this year: A dozen bartenders will compete at a Margarita Expo from noon-5 p.m. Sunday. This also requires an additional $20 ticket (good for 10 samples).

7. There will be competitions for taco-eating, chile pepper-eating, and a chihuahua beauty pageant.

8. Other attractions will include lucha libre wrestling, a live music stage, and a kids zone.
