Saturday: 2-year anniversary party at Social Box in Chandler

Social Box Neighborhood Eatery in Chandler celebrates its second anniversary with food and drink specials and live music from 2 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday.

Taking over the longtime Iguana Macks on Oct. 17, 2014, SoBo promised a unique concept ‘‘that combines elevated comfort food with a strong taste of community stewardship.’’

Since then, the restaurant and bar has hosted more than 100 fundraisers for neighborhood groups and non-profits, many of them animal rescue organizations.

On Saturday, you can nosh on $2 slices of cheese pizza while enjoying two-for-one well drinks, $2 domestic drafts, $2 Fireball shots, $3 Jack Fire shots, and $5 Deep Eddy vodka drinks.

The live music lineup includes Hannah Lopez Music, Blake Hassebrock, Duo Taylor Sackson and Josh Jones and Jam Austin Murray.
