Mesquite River Brewing, Arizona’s newest craft brewery, opened its doors over the weekend on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and Thunderbird (map) in north Scottsdale.
The brewery’s taproom has eight beers – six of its own plus two guest beers – on its 12 taps so far. There’s no kitchen, but patrons can order food from The Hangar a few doors down.
Using a 4-barrel system, head brewer Karl Ivanoff, a co-owner with Fred Misch, already has produced a pale ale, IPA, stout, amber ale, red ale, and brown ale.
The interior can accommodate about 65 people, including 10 at the small bar. A sidewalk patio is planned.
Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
