Perfect Pear Bistro – a local, family-owned restaurant that offers a modern American twist on comfort foods – opens its third location at 10:30 a.m. today on the southwest corner of Roosevelt and University (map), a half-mile west of downtown Tempe.
The building previously was the longtime home of Mexican restaurant Mucho Gusto and, most recently, The Revival.
It’s the third East Valley location for Perfect Pear. The concept debuted in Ahwatukee in 2013, and added a south Tempe location in 2014.
Perfect Pear’s menu features salads, sandwiches (including five different grilled cheeses), soups, tacos, pasta dishes, and more, accompanied by a rotating list of craft beers, wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails.
The food and drink menus change regularly to feature fresh flavors and seasonal ingredients. Artisan bread and produce is delivered daily.
“We are so excited to bring our concept to this neighborhood,†says Chris Hove, owner of Perfect Pear. “Our amazing guests and staff at our two existing locations made us eager to grow.â€
Hove and his wife, Laura, are industry veterans who, combined, opened more than 30 restaurants across the country before launching their own concept.
“We’re so grateful that our community has been so supportive, therefore allowing us to continue to expand throughout the Valley,†Laura Hove says.
Perfect Pear Bistro in north Tempe will be open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
