Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dinning room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s menu:
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep fried.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers and capers, tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons and anchovies.
- Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti.
- Sun Flower Beef (pictured): Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sun flower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
- Espresso Chocolate Pudding
