Chef Matt Carter unveils his latest restaurant, Fat OX, at 5 p.m. today at Lincoln Plaza on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and Lincoln in north Scottsdale.
Fat OX promises ‘‘authentic, ingredient-driven and hearty recipes of rural Italy,’’ focusing on steaks, poultry, and seafood slow-roasted over mesquite and carved tableside.
The 7,000-square-foot restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, including a private dining room, that can accommodate a total of 350 diners.
Fat OX will be open 5-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
Carter’s other restaurants include Zinc Bistro, The Mission, and The House Brasserie, all in Scottsdale
Teaming up with Carter on Fat OX are Valley restaurateurs Mark Drinkwater and Brian Raab.
