La Sala Tequila Cantina – a new Mexican-themed concept from the owners of The Living Room, Rock Lobster, and Humble Pie – opens at 4 p.m. today at Downtown Ocotillo, a commercial development on Queen Creek between Dobson and Price in south Chandler.

La Sala – which translates as ‘‘the living room’’ – is 2,400 square feet and seats 45 diners at tables and another 15 at the bar. It shares a kitchen with The Living Room.

For now, the restaurant opens at 4 p.m. for dinner. In a couple of weeks, it will roll out earlier hours for lunch and weekend brunch.

Chef Luis Milan‘s menu features mesquite-grilled flavors from Mexico and Latin America:

Happy hour (the drink prices in green) eventually will be from 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

New locations of The Living Room and La Sala will open at The Shops at Gainey Village in Scottsdale in early December.
