Last year, the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild launched a promotion selling a limited number of discounted general-admission tickets to the Arizona Strong Beer Festival at three Arizona breweries on Black Friday morning – before they went on sale online later that day.
This year, the program has been expanded. Nineteen craft breweries will be selling $35 tickets Friday while supplies last. Everyone who buys a ticket will be entered into a drawing to win a VIP pass (one drawing at each location). In addition, many of the breweries will be offering Black Friday deals.
The Valley breweries selling the discounted tickets (all open at 11 a.m. unless noted) will be Uncle Bear’s in Ahwatukee; The Perch (9.a.m) in Chandler; Four Peaks, Pedal Haus, and The Shop in Tempe; Two Brothers (9 a.m.) in Scottsdale; SunUp, Mother Bunch, North Mountain, and OHSO Arcadia (9 a.m.) in Phoenix; 8-Bit (6 a.m.) in Avondale; and Richter in Peoria.
Tickets then will go on sale online Saturday, which is Small Business Saturday, for $40 for general admission and $75 for VIP. GA tickets increase to the normal price of $45 on Sunday.
New this year: There will be a small number of $100 Super VIP tickets that include a brewers’ reception Friday night with food, beer, and live music, plus VIP admission on Saturday. They also go on sale online Saturday.
The 17th annual Strong Beer Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix.
