Somewhere in the rush to get ready for Thanksgiving last week I neglected to mention Sushi Brokers opened in the Heritage Marketplace in downtown Gilbert.

But you haven’t missed the official grand-opening party. That takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday with the carving of a tuna – along what they’re somewhat cryptically billing as ‘‘celebrity appearances.’’

Sushi Brokers features top-quality fish flown in daily and expertly prepared by sushi chefs. It offers more than 20 specialty rolls, as well as a large selection of wine, beer, sake, and vodka.

Gilbert is the concept’s third Valley location. The first opened in north Scottsdale about 15 years ago, the second in Arcadia three years ago.

Sushi Brokers opens at 11 a.m. daily. Happy hour is 3-6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.-close daily.
