The Hungry Monk in Chandler will tap a keg of Oskar Blues’ limited-release barrel-aged Ten Fidy imperial stout at 6:42 p.m. tonight.
The 12.9% ABV beer – a spinoff of the Colorado brewery’s year-round imperial stout – has been aged in a variety of Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark, and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for up to a year.
The barrel-aged version has been around for a couple years and made its debut in 19.2-ounce cans last year, but only has been available at Oskar Blues’ taproom.
This year, a small quantity in kegs and cans was shipped to bars and stores across the country.
The Monk also will be tapping a keg of Oskar Blues’ semi-sweet porter, Death by Coconut, tonight.
