Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers will preview its soon-to-open Gilbert location by giving away free cheeseburgers to the first 500 people who stop by its food truck starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The restaurant will open to the public next Wednesday, Dec. 21.

The space on the northwest corner of Higley and Queen Creek formerly was home to Tailgaters Grill, which closed in February. It will be the Scottsdale-based concept’s second location in the East Valley, joining one that opened in Chandler in early 2015.

The menu boasts 21 half-pound specialty burgers (you also can build your own) and 40 beers on tap. Although burgers are it namesake, CBCB also has sandwiches, hot dogs, wings, and more.

(Note: After this post originally was published, Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers announced its Gilbert opening has been postponed until Dec. 21. But the burger giveaway still will take place this Wednesday, Dec. 14. The post has been updated with the latest info.)
