Oink Cafe, an Arizona-based concept that offers flights of bacon, has opened on the southwest corner of McClintock and Warner in south Tempe.
The family-owned business takes over the building formerly occupied by Marcello’s Pasta Grill, which closed in May. It’s Oink Cafe’s third location, joining others in Phoenix and Tucson.
The breakfast menu offers traditional favorites like omelets (including its signature Oink Omelet with bacon, sausage, and ham), pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and a number of bacon-centric dishes.
The highlight is a flight of eight different kinds of bacon – applewood, jalapeno, sugar-cured, apple cider, pepper, honey-cured, hickory, and chef’s choice – for $9.49.
Oink Cafe also has Bloody Mary flights (you can choose any four of the bar’s six options).
The lunch menu features salads, a 50-50 burger (half beef, half bacon), and sandwiches (including a BLT and BBQ pork). There are housemade maple bacon doughnuts for dessert.
Oink Cafe is open 7 a.m.-2 p.m daily.
