A chimichurri pork shoulder with crispy smashed potatoes will be the featured entree for this month’s ‘‘3rd Tuesday’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert.
The three-course dinners feature three new dishes from chef Romeo Taus’ creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgable waitstaff:
- Toasted sourdough, caper berries, cornichons, pickled fennel, lingonberries, and Calvados spiked lamb foie pate. Paired with 2013 San Simeon Estate Viognier, Paso Robles
- Pork shoulder, chimichurri, crispy smashed potatoes, grilled squash, tomatoes, red cabbage, green onions, roasted peppers, fresh garlic, and EVOO-sherry vinegar salad. Paired with 2014 Cloudline Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, Oregon.
- Rich, chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, walnuts, and Bing cherries. Paired with 2013 Torres Celeste Crianza Tempranillo, Spain.
