La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen in Gilbert holds its fifth annual Hatch Chile Roast and Sale this weekend.
Restaurant staffers made their annual pilgrimage to Hatch, N.M., earlier this month to pick up their annual supply of chiles, which will be roasted in the restaurant’s parking lot Friday and Saturday.
Customers who ordered and pre-paid for chiles can pick up their 40-pound bags after 11 a.m. either day. La Ristra is located on the north side of Warner Road, just west of Lindsay.
Inside the restaurant, there’ll be a craft beer tap takeover by New Mexico’s Sante Fe Brewing and live music by Guitarras Latinas at 8 p.m. Friday and Ian Eric at 1 p.m. Saturday.
