If you missed the tapping of a rare keg of Hangar 24‘s Pugachev Cobra infused with Madagascar vanilla at The Brass Tap back in May, you’re in luck. The Mesa Riverview craft beer bar is tapping another keg at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Pugachev’s Cobra is the Redlands, Calif., brewery’s award-winning, limited-release Russian imperial stout aged for eight months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels.
The 2016 version, which is what The Brass Tap got its hands on, is a hefty 13.8% ABV. The 2017 version comes out in December.
The Brass Tap’s previous keg of vanilla-infused Cobra sold out in just 73 minutes back in May. This time, customers will be limited to a single 10-ounce pour for $13, so the keg should last a little longer.
I wouldn’t arrive too late if you want to try this rare beer.
Other Hangar 24 beers on tap Tuesday night will include its flagship Orange Wheat, Iconic Double IPA, Highway 111 Lime Gose, and seasonal Oktoberfest Fall Lager.
