Thursday, Nov. 2, is International Stout Day, and The Hungry Monk in Chandler will host its annual ‘‘Steaks, Stouts & Pancakes’’ event.
From 5-9 p.m., the craft beer bar and grill will have six top-notch stouts on tap:
- Bell’s Expedition
- Founders Breakfast Stout
- Mike Hess Hessfest
- McFate Stout
- Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
- Hangar 24 Pugachev’s Cobra
In addition, there will be five food specials:
- Steak bites: Black Butte Porter-marinated sirloin pieces with house-made stout steak sauce and horseradish aioli ($9)
- Bone-in ribeye: 16-ounce ribeye grilled to order with smoked baked potato, pancakes, and house-made stout steak sauce ($17)
- New Orleans Bleus Sirloin: Cajun-seasoned 8-ounce sirloin grilled to order topped with blue cheese crumbles and crispy onion strings with smoked baked potato and pancakes ($14.50)
- Tri-tip & eggs: House-smoked tri-tip with hiuse-made chimichurri sauce, two egges and short stack of buttermilk pancakes ($12)
- Just pancakes: With warm beer syrup ($3)
