After what seemed like one of the longest build-outs in East Valley history, Oregon-based Hop Social Tavern finally has opened in front of Chandler Fashion Center. It takes over the former Elephant Bar building southwest of the Loop 101 and Chandler Boulevard.
SunUp Brewing in Phoenix taps HULK SMASH, the first of its new series of SMASH IPAs, at 4 p.m. today. SMASH is the craft brewery’s acronym for ‘‘single malt, single hop.’’ HULK SMASH is a double IPA brewed with Simcoe hops.
