Huss Brewing expands Tempe facility to double production

By Jess Harter Monday, December 18, 2017

HussBrewing5Huss Brewing, Arizona’s third-largest brewery, is expanding its south Tempe production facility.

Launched by Jeff and Leah Huss in the long-vacant Rio Salado Brewing space in 2013, the brewery already expanded previously by taking over a next-door suite. This month, Huss will take over a third suite, bringing the brewery to a total of 19,000 square feet.

The expansion won’t affect the public taproom at the brewery, but will allow Huss to double its production of beer by February.

Huss, which also opened a taproom in Phoenix earlier this year, is perhaps best-known for its Scottsdale Blonde, Koffee Kolsch, and Magic in the Ivy pale ale.

The most recent addition to its core lineup is Copper State IPA, which launched in September.
