Tempe distillery Adventurous Stills rolls out the second release of its quarterly Explorers Club series – a barrel-rested gin – with a celebration from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
The distillery took its Camelback Gin recipe, dialed up the botanicals and let it sit in a bourbon barrel for four months. At 100 proof, the gin is described as ‘‘smooth as a baby’s bottom …. (with) notes of warm cinnamon, coriander, and nutmeg.’’
Members of the Explorers Club are guaranteed a bottle; the rest of the limited release will be available to the public until sold out. One bottle will be raffled off to a customer for a penny on Saturday.
Other than Explorer Club bottles, you can enjoy $5 cocktails and $3 off all other bottles all day Saturday.
Adventurous Stills is located in the industrial area southeast of Tempe Marketplace.
