Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms covered in melted provolone; served with yogurt dressing.
- Roasted Eggplant Salad: Red peppers, kalamata olives, green chiles, carrots, garbanzos, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.
- Chicken Omega: Strips of grilled chicken, spinach, pine nuts, garlic, and feta in rich white wine cream (pictured).
- Pork AgroDolce: Blackened pork tenderloin, smashed crispy potatoes, green beans, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic, and fig agrodolce.
- Cheesecake Brownies: Rich, chocolaty cream cheese brownies with coconut and pecans.
Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
