SanTan Brewing, a fixture in downtown Chandler since 2007, opens its second brewpub today on the southwest corner of 16th Street and Bethany Home in Phoenix.
The stand-alone building formerly was home to Z’Tejas, which closed in October.
The Phoenix location will serve the same beers and food as the Chandler original. No beer is being brewed on the premises yet – the brewing system isn’t expected to be operational until this fall.
SanTan is one of several East Valley breweries expanding into Phoenix. Huss Brewing in south Tempe opened a taproom at Central and Camelback in Phoenix last year.
Pedal Haus Brewery in downtown Tempe and Arizona Wilderness Brewing in Gilbert have announced plans to open Phoenix locations in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
