March 17: St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around the East Valley

Fibber Magees Irish Pub: Doors open at 8 a.m. for Irish breakfast (reservations recommended). A large block party with kitchen, full bar, promotions, and live music takes place on the southeast corner of Dobson and Elliot in Chandler. Cover is $10 after 11 a.m.

Bourbon Jacks: Special menu until 10 p.m. features corned beef and cabbage and Guinness stew. Live music by Tony Martinez at 3:30 and Marble Heart at 9:30.

Good Time Charli’s: Specials include $13.99 corned beef and cabbage, $6 Guinness pints and Irish Car Bombs, $5 Jameson shots, and $3 Hellcat Maggie’s shots.  All-day live music.

Murphy’s Law Irish Pub: Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler hosts ShamRockFest, a huge beer and cocktail garden with food trucks, games, and bagpipe players. Alien Ant Farm headlines the musical lineup. Admission is $15.

The Hungry Monk: Food and drink specials with Celtic music all day.

Pier 54: Free acoustic music show with Fred Green from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Ginger Monkey: The indoor/outdoor Monkey Fest runs from noon to midnight with kids activities and face painting until 5, live music (3-11 p.m.), DJs, and Cornhole tourney. Specials include $2 Jell-O shots and $4 draft pints. Admission is $8 ($5 before March 12) for adults and free for 12 and under.

Pedal Haus Brewery: St. Pedals Day Bike Crawl starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes five stops in downtown Tempe, highlighted by the tapping of Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition, a collaboration with Jameson Irish Whisky. Cost is $30 in advance or $40 day of.

The Monastery Mesa: Enjoy $8 corned beef and cabbage plates, $5 Irish Car Bombs, $5 Jameson shots, and $3 PBR beers all day. Live music starts at 7 p.m.

Rula Bula Irish Pub: Doors open at 8 a.m. with live music starting at 1 p.m. Promotions and giveaways throughout the day.

Chompies: Feast on an all-you-can-eat corned beef and cabbage dinner for $21.99 ($18.99 for single serving). Specialty items include green bagels, green and white cookies, and green beer.

Chase’s Diner: Starting at 2 p.m., the ’50s-style diner will offer a special of corned beef and cabbage for $10.79.

The Thirsty Lion: Special menu (through March 18) includes corned beef mac and cheese, corned beef and cabbage, and an Irish beer flight.

Sandbar Mexican Grill: Enjoy $3 green beer, $5 Shamrock-aritas and baby Guinness, $6 Irish Car Bombs and $13 corned beef and cabbage tacos.

Rockn Ronnie’s: St. Paddy’s Day Bash starts at 4 p.m. with $2 beers and well drinks. Live music from 4-8 p.m. and 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Fractured Prune: Celebrate the holiday with a half-dozen special Irish-themed doughnuts, such as Irish creme and cookies with green vanilla glaze.
