Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Gâteaux de Poisson: Alaskan pollock fillets, water chestnuts, ginger-garlic paste, green onions, cilantro, carrots, red pepper, and Cajun remoulade.
- Mediterranean Salad: Hearts of artichoke and palm with roasted pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, scallions, avocado, romaine, lemon vinaigrette, and almonds.
- Sherry Cranberry Pork: Pork tenderloin, cranberries, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted red pepper, green onions, and rosemary over pasta.
- Chicken Veneto: Chicken breast, whole black peppercorns, capers, spring onion, mushrooms, and garlic in Marsala cream sauce.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, and walnuts.
