March 29: ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29.

The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:

  • Gâteaux de Poisson: Alaskan pollock fillets, water chestnuts, ginger-garlic paste, green onions, cilantro, carrot, red pepper Cajun remoulade.
  • Corinthian Salad: Grilled chicken breast, mixed greens, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, capers, feta cheese, Italian dressing.
  • Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, peas, parsley-cilantro salad, lemon wedges.
  • Ravioli Marco Polo: Cheese ravioli, meat sauce with Italian sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, a touch of cinnamon.
  • Framboise & Chocolate: Red raspberry cheesecake, chocolate soufflé.

Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
