Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Gâteaux de Poisson: Alaskan pollock fillets, water chestnuts, ginger-garlic paste, green onions, cilantro, carrot, red pepper Cajun remoulade.
- Corinthian Salad: Grilled chicken breast, mixed greens, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, capers, feta cheese, Italian dressing.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, peas, parsley-cilantro salad, lemon wedges.
- Ravioli Marco Polo: Cheese ravioli, meat sauce with Italian sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, a touch of cinnamon.
- Framboise & Chocolate: Red raspberry cheesecake, chocolate soufflé.
Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
